
- Rates are per apartment per night/month (30 nights) as applicable and subject to Value Added Tax (VAT) levied at 17.5% for the first 28 days then 3.5% thereafter
- Rate includes all applicable and supplied utilities, daily maid service (5 days, Mon-Fri)
- To qualify for the further discounted monthly rates, your initial booking or any extension thereto must be for the minimum period required to obtain that rate
- Unless prior arrangements have been made, a credit card number is required to secure all reservations
- Rates are valid from 1 April 2005 to 31 December 2005
Deposits
- For stays of 1-29 nights duration, a credit card number only is required to guarantee a reservation
- For stays of 30 or more nights, a deposit equivalent to 25% of the total cost of the accommodation being reserved is required in order to guarantee
- All confirmation deposits must be received at the time of booking or at least 14 days prior to arrival, whichever is the later. If not received, 196 Bishopsgate reserves the right to cancel reservations without notice
- Deposits may be paid by credit card upon receipt of the cardholder's signed authority and a clearly legible copy of both sides of said card. Where a corporate/company credit card is being used, the copy of the card must be presented on your company headed paper
Payment
- For stays of 1-14 nights duration, payment of accommodation charges can be made on departure, subject to a guarantee being left with the property (valid credit card, approved invoicing instructions etc)
- For stays of 30 or more nights, unless prior arrangements have been made the full payment of the first 30 day period of accommodation and tax is due upon arrival along with a security deposit of £10.00 per day
- Security deposits are refundable on departure less deductions for any incidental charges incurred
- Payment can be made by cheque or bank transfer, (cleared funds to be received prior to arrival), cash and the major credit cards. Subsequent periods of accommodation will be invoiced/charged in advance to your credit card in periods of 30 nights or part thereof as applicable
- In all cases, 196 Bishopsgate will provide an invoice for the period charged for your records. Any outstanding incidental charges must be settled upon departure but longer stay guests will be invoiced periodically to ensure their accounts remain in credit
Credit & Overdue Account Charges
- Payment of invoices is due upon receipt of the invoice, unless 14 days credit has been given. If 14 days credit has been given payment is due within 14 days from the date of invoice
- Failure to comply with these credit facilities may result in all credit being withdrawn and all outstanding balances becoming due immediately. Interest will be charged on a daily basis at 8% from 15th day until settlement of the full amount of the invoice, plus any additional administration costs in recovering the debt
Cancellation
- Stays of 1-6 nights: notice of cancellation is required 24 hours prior to arrival to avoid any cancellation fee being levied (maximum 1 night's accommodation)
- Stays of 7-29 nights: notice of cancellation is required 72 hours prior to arrival to avoid any cancellation fee being levied (minimum cancellation charge being 50% of total booking)
- Stays of 30 nights or more: notice of cancellation is required 14 days prior to arrival to avoid any cancellation fee being levied (minimum cancellation charge being 25% of total booking)
- An option held upon an extension to a rental period is subject to the cancellation terms as notified above
Extension
- Stays of 1-6 nights: Notice to extend must be received 24 hours prior to scheduled departure
- Stays of 7-29 nights: Notice to extend must be received 72 hours prior to scheduled departure
- Stays of 30 nights or more: Notice to extend must be received 14 days prior to scheduled departure
- In order to accommodate an extension to rental period when already resident, the above notice periods will apply
- Extension requests received within the required notice period will be granted subject to availability
Early departure
- Residents staying 1-6 nights must give 24 hours prior notice if the apartment is to be vacated earlier than the date originally intended
- Residents staying 7-29 nights must give 72 hours prior notice if the apartment is to be vacated earlier than the date originally intended, subject to a minimum stay of 7 nights
- Residents staying 30 or more nights must give 14 days prior notice if the apartment is to be vacated earlier than the date originally intended, subject to a minimum stay of 30 days
- Longer-term stays will be subject to other minimum stay requirements. Tenancies falling short of such minimum stay requirements will be subject to retrospectively applied accommodation rental surcharges
